Damn. I can get a brand new 2019 left over ZL1 1LE for $64k asking price. So probably much less at my Chevy dealer.

I don't know anything about the new Supra other than I don't want one bad enough to pay Toyota's asking price. I can't afford it anyway. I prefer the new NSX over the new Supra.

I definitely do not need a sports car.

I’m in no way interested in buying one. I just wanted to stir the pot for some fun. I do appreciate the car though. Too many misconceptions about the car. Toyota’s main guy on the project wants the car to be like the old Supra in principle. Something that gets a huge aftermarket following after a while so the cars will end up as expressions of individual owners. It was built to be a tuners car. Time will tell. The motor may end up better than the old one after heavy mods. The original Supras weren’t crazy fast from the factory either. The tuners are who made it a historic car.

I liked Supras back when they was a Celica.

Or back when a Celica was actually a competitive race car. I’ll never understand why Toyota abandoned having true sport cars.

I think the Camry killed Toyota's sports car market, or Chrysler's cab-forward design. Maybe it was the only thing that could happen in a post feminist movement America.
