Nice. My beef is done, too. My smoker is on its last legs. Electrical contacts are bad and i have to monitor it and check connectivity constantly.

Bummer. I usually pull mine at 200. Never had one over cook on me.

It's not jerky, just ideal for me is 185. My electric smoker is very inconsistent and the door no longer seals properly.

All the butts I’ve done have been real juicy and delicious at 200 for me. I just want the damn thing to cook faster. I bumped up to 300* and it’s been wrapped for a bit. I’m hungry and impatient

Mine was sitting at "290" for 3 hours. Obviously, my built-in thermometer isn't working correctly lol. No biggie, I just need to do more frequent spot checks until I get a better smoker.

That’s why I use the grills thermo probe and an external one. But you should definitely get a new smoker anyway

I've been using an electric smoker for 3 years. It's the only way I've smoked meat. I'm the only one in my family who knows how to smoke meat.

Same, my electric smoker is on its last legs too. It's approx 10 years old, needs way to much assit to make it function ok. Just haven't found another I really like yet.

I have a barrel style smoker. Want another similar one but cannot find one. Mostly pellet is all I can find. I prefer wood chips. What do you all have?
