I'd like to have both systems. Then I can enjoy the best features of each one.

Kinda what I thought. Both seem comparable. Local shop sells Compustar w/2 way fob but iPhone remote only has a 30 day free trial.

I'm almost certain both systems can be configured either way. It just needs to be requested when ordering.

    How much are y'all paying?

I purchased an entire compustar alarm with blade Al and can change all settings of the alarm on my laptop. That includes remote start double pulse for unlocking all doors or driver priority, remote start run time, I have a temperature sensor that shows me ambient temp inside vehicle. Vehicle will start if temp goes above or below a set threshold.

Not to mention I have a useful alarm with great shock sensor and a myriad of options.

I also have my ac wired up so my remote start turns it on and accessories as well.

    I spent $180.

From what i remember, i used a harness that came with the alarm. There were 3 wires from what i recall and i used the blade AL module that plugs into the brain. The blade al allows you to delete all the additional harnesses that would typically be required. From there I flashed it and configured from idatalink website. Here is the blade al

I carry 2 key sets & am used to leaving it run locked so Pit Stop probably no big deal for me. More perturbed only one door has a keyed lock anymore.

I originally tried the 12 volt solutions kit on my ‘07 and it wouldn’t program, I must have tried resetting it 20 times. I had issues with the kit on my woman’s Camry as well, so when they closed early on Saturday and quit answering my texts while I was troubleshooting, I finally gave up.

I just finished installing the Accessorides kit and I love it so far. The instructions were so much better than 12 volt. It worked on the first try. The remote is nicer. Haven’t tested the range yet, but I highly recommend Accessorides.

The remote unlocks all doors with one push unlike the factory system only unlocking the driver door, but I can live with that.

I dig my Accessorides. My 2011 acts the same with the new remote, driver door with 1 push, all with 2 pushes.

On mine, I push the unlock button once, the driver door unlocks and the lights flash, then all doors unlock and the lights flash again :notsure:. Which remotes do you have? I have Nustart remotes, one two-way with silver buttons and a one-way with black buttons.

I just did the 12Volt install myself on my 2014 DCLB Limited 4x4. I missed the page initially that talked about programming the unit but otherwise this works great so far and the range is great so far. The programming took all of 30 sec’s. Between the YouTube video and the instructions, it was not difficult to figure out. However, yes they need to revamp their instructions which is the feedback I gave them. However, the video makes it pretty straight forward.
I can be in class (college) on campus and remote start it from pretty far off. I’m only about 100 yard from where I park but it works.

My accessorides kit remote doesn’t unlock the remaining 3 doors after I start the car using the remote.

I asked Accessorides about what options are configurable with their kit, like enabling/disabling the horn beep, light flashing, entry lighting, lock/unlock behavior, but they haven't given me any answers other than "we need to set options before we send it" -- which is fine but... what options are there to set?

So does anyone, with the kit, have any idea what is configurable on it?

Interested in this as well. What options are others picking with the kit too. The 2 way or what ? I wanna pick the right thing. Are most of y'all installing yourselves or taking somewhere. I do basic wiring but don't wanna divert too much I have a Best Buy tech support package and they will install for free. Just have to wait for an available date so might attempt myself if long off.

Also are you guys using your OEM key fobs for starting or the remotes that coke with the system. On a YouTube video for TRDJON for the accessories he uses his oem key and like has to press lock 3 times to get it to start.

I currently have a code alarm on my 4runner and it does have a PitStop type feature. I have had that alarm roughly 15years on there. I hit a button on the remote before turning the truck off and removing the key and it stays running while i run in the store. Question about these 2 units discussed in the thread

Does the module plug into the ODBII port?

If you take the Taco in for service or to check codes, when the module for the remote start is removed for them to run the codes, does it reset or need to be programmed again when connected back?
