I read a little about it. It sounds like it’s geared toward improving performance. Which is good. But, my truck completely lost power at 65mph. It seams like there is definitely something weird going on. I’ve been driving nearly 30 years. That’s never once happened to me in any vehicle. Let alone one that’s 6 months old.

I had this happen with a 2000 Subaru 2.5rs back in 2002 while still under warranty. I brought it to the dealer multiple times and they could never find anything. I ended up trading it in months later for a new gti. But same symptoms as yours, stalling randomly for no reason. Sometimes multiple times a day and sometimes I could go weeks without it happening.

If they don’t have a fix why are the 2020’s not affected? Doesn’t that mean they figured it out?

Good luck, had a similar issue with a diff vehicle, like almost identical, except I was doing 75, and although under warranty, dealer couldn’t/wouldn’t replicate it. Document everything, take notes, and pictures, or video while it’s happening, make sure you report the same exact thing, if it keeps happening. Worst case scenario, hire a lemon law lawyer, cuz Toyota may never find, or fix it.
Hope that is not the case. Good luck, keep us posted.
