Im really new to all this and I was just wondering what size of wheels will fit on my 2009 Taco. Really looking into the SCS F5 16x8 but get confused with the offset? Here a look at the wheels and the spec options. Or what size is a best fit?

The current wheels you have on your truck are 17x7.5, 6x139.7(6x5.5), +30mm offset I believe.

You can use this link to play around with different offsets and tire sizes to figure out what look you are going for:

    I think i read - 12 offsets brings them out about 1.5 inches each side.I just bought 16in ray10s with a - 12 offset and putting 265 75 16 on tomorrow. Ready for a wider stance!

Hey man still little confused, just wanted to know if I were to get the 16x8 4.5BS with 0mm Offset will I hit anything, read that 16s could hit the calipers but not sure if that’s true or not

The wheel clearing the caliper is a design/style issue.

Example: I have American Eagle Alloys in 16x8 -11mm. The drum of the wheel clears the calipers no problem but the inside of the spokes almost touch the outside edge of the caliper. I have heard and seen other wheels with the same design of mine not clearing the spokes so I got lucky.

You will have to look around for the specific specs you want and see if others have successfully mounted them on a Tacoma. If I were to guess I would bet this style of wheel you are interested will not have any issues.

Only other issue you will have to worry about is the tire hitting stuff, what size tires you looking at?

Nice! Go big or go home!

Your tires should clear the UCA with that offset rim. The biggest issue you will have now is the tire hitting different parts of the wheel well.

Have you looked into what it takes to fit a basically 33” tire?

Yea I read that I’ll have to trim if I want full lock, get new upper control arms, a lift (3”), that’s all I know so far

Excellent! There is a lot of information to sort through on TW but it sounds like you are on your way. There are definitely a lot of builds similar to what your are looking for. Even my truck was similar with 2.8” lift, -11mm wheels, and 305s at one point.

We definitely expect some pics of your truck when it’s done!
