    2016 Limited....no warranty.

I'm 99% sure my issue is my door lock actuator is shot. All my diagnosis point to that.

I saw a good video on you tube with a how to replace and fix the actuator for a 2011 tacoma. Looked like it was easy enough and the price was right.

My question for the masses here......does the Gen3 series use the same actuator as the Gen2's??? Im curious if the disassembly is the same and if the cheap little motor inside (as shown in the you tube video) is the same for the Gen3. I can't fine much for Gen3 door actuator info.

With the help of another member, I (we) are able to confirm that Gen 3 lock actuators do use the same little motor inside as the gen 2 lock actuators....both for the front and back doors. This results in a super cheap fix.

Getting the actuator out was pretty simple. Much easier than my wife's murano actuator. Swapping the motor out was easy enough.......JUST BE SUPER CAREFUL with springs and parts not to jar something loose. Once you open the actuator up, there a few springs and parts that are barely held in place. I messed it up and had to take apart my opposite door actuator to figure out how to get the springs back in the proper place.

The part to repair the door lock actuator can be purchased here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LXS38R9?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have 3 of the motors left (I only needed 1 of the 4). If interested, I'd be happy to sell for cheap....PM me.
