Why would it be a quart low?

I assume my mechanic checked it on a flat service, but I don’t know if it was hot or cold...

The noise came back within less than a half hour of me picking up the truck! Brought it back, and we’ve determined that the likely cause is “contaminated” brake pads; $110 for new brake pads and the labor costs will be waved this time around. New pads to be installed tomorrow!

Took the planer and belt sander to the benchtop project. Its getting closer but still has a few high and low spots left to finish.

Just get a whole new head unit, and remove it from the truck if you plan on playing submarine again!

I changed my profile picture on Facebook from one of my late dog Mandy to a years-old picture of me from college; I had to turn off the notifications because my notifications were getting blown up by friends and family liking it!

I am now 99% sure that the rear axle seal blowing last fall had nothing whatsoever to do with the noise I was hearing; The only reason I’m not accusing the dealer of lying is because my mechanic had the brake drum off after the second axle seal failure (due to the dealer tech’s half-assed work) and I saw the axle grease all over the rear brake for myself.

I've had my truck since new, and have had no engine problems of any kind; I believe I have exactly 109,460 miles as of this thread...

My mechanic was doing some brake work on my truck and did a complimentary cursory inspection as well; He checked the oil (I had not done it for a couple months) and determined that I was roughly a quart low. Luckily, I had an extra quarter of Mobil 1 full synthetic in the garage and I added it when I picked up the truck. My oil was last changed at 107K or so, and I wasn't intending to change it again until 114K. I have been running full synthetic since 79,500 miles and Mobil 1 since just over 84K.

My truck does not leak oil and does not give any obvious signs of burning oil. My uncle (who has been restoring muscle cars for more than 30 years, has owned numerous Toyota pickups, and does all of his own maintenance on his personal vehicles) assures me that it is merely a little bit of oil getting past the rings due to age and normal wear and tear, my truck will last forever, and I have nothing to worry about; I tend to agree with him, but I just wanted to see what other 2TR-FE owners had to say...

Are you sure the oil was full after the oil change?
I’d add oil to full, and check it frequently.
Maybe you don’t have a problem.
I’m just trying to be optimistic here.
But I say, Wait and see.
