Just picked up a Drifta DPOS. They're Australian built but have a distributor outside Vancouver. Drove up from WA to take a look and we bought it on the spot. Collapses down and can hold your stove, food, dishes, and utensils while packed up. We really wanted something that wasn't a permanent fixture in the back of the rig and this seemed to fit the bill quite nicely. Haven't used it yet but we can't wait! Just look at all that prep space! Oh, and it has a hand pump faucet too!

How much does it weigh now and how much when it is full of stuff? I'd be concerned with getting it in and out of the truck.

I dig it. Legs look a bit flimsy for what I'm assuming is around 40lbs of plywood but at least the independent adjustment would let you be level everywhere... much better than the hard mounted setups that require a reasonably level truck.

Looked it up online. 57 pounds (26kg), if I picked the right one, several versions available, so weight is a concern.

The weight isn't bad fully loaded. I'd say maybe 65 lbs? But I'm never going to use it without my better half in tow. So getting it in and out of the truck is super easy. The legs do seem flimsy at first but the thing is really solid when deployed. The swing-out counter space adds stability and the only time I could forsee it having an issue would be on soft ground since the legs are just pipe and would sink. Just another use for the maxxtracks though :D

Can't say I'm all that stoked on these. They're expensive, they're heavy, and they don't look very space-efficient. I'd rather have a couple collapsible camp tables that lay flat and store the kitchenware in a separate, much smaller box.

I built something similar but it doesn't have a foldout prep space and admittedly it is shorter but quite a bit wider. I've had it for about 5 years now and I honestly don't use it anymore for the reasons mentioned above its heavy a little burdensome. I've found it easier to put what I had in that chuckbox in a smaller box with wheels and just use my tailgate, but to each, their own I hope you enjoy it.

I have the one that's about $20 more and has a sink+faucet. It is of surprisingly high quality. When I set up camp the first thing I do is deploy the table and hook it up to my 10 gallon on-board water tank. 5 gallon bucket underneath slowly fills and eventually gets used to extinguish the fire. Can't beat it.
