I was up at Peacock Flats today running my GSP. It was my first time and I didn't have any luck today, but will be trying to get out every weekend that I'm off to try to get my pup on some birds.

I saw a bunch of grey francolins while I was over on Lanai for the state Mouflon hunt, seems like it would get speedy flying me and my dog between islands for hunting.

I'm going to be heading up both days this weekend if anyone wants to meet up and try to get some birds.

We had a good run up there today, only saw some doves that were on the trail, but always a good day out in the field. Also nice when my dog turns into a fixture on the couch for the night as well lol.

    How was fishing?

Well, made it up for both days, but, didn't get any shots. Still figuring out the area and getting the pup back into it. He hasn't been on birds and hunting for over 2 years so we are both brushing off the cobwebs. That being said he is passed out on the couch and has been that way since we got home which is saying something for a GSP.

At least you guys caught something on the beach. I need to get out and do some fishing, but that will have to wait until after bird season closes.

LOL! Sorry I haven't been here for a while. But we do a Pheasent Release program here on Oahu. The season just ended. Too bad I didn't see your post earlier.
I just got a GSP pup she's 12 weeks old. Is yours a male?
Hopefully the military doesn't close off the area for the missle system.IMG_3711.jpg

No worries, I made it up there quite a bit and was able to get a Black Francolin and some Barred Doves. Saw some pheasant, a couple more francolin, and some doves, but either didn't have a shot on them or didn't connect with them. Mines a 6yo male, unfortunately this is going to be the only year I'll be able to run birds up there, I'm headed back stateside later this year.
