Haven't been back to Oahu in years, but the last lifted tacoma I brought in, Alignment paperwork is necessary. I suggest having SPC UCA's to help with the adjustment.

Not sure if Island brake and alignment in Pearl City is still in business. I use those guys a lot.

Island break and alignment still can get the alignment sheet to pass recon on a 4 inch lift?

Does height of the vehicle have anything to do with alignment?

my taco has a 7-inch lift on it they will definitely be able to help you out! they are super chill dudes I think it was about 150$ out the door but they did a great job and answered all my questions about getting my recon permit. There is a Goodyear tire right next to the recon place that will also give you a spec sheet that you need for the permit. I took mine to Island break and alignment because I read this forum they were good guys and would take care of me. They'll take care of you too!

Do you think our trucks would still have to conform to the recon restrictions during our safety check inspection? For example, tire treads within fender and mud flaps?

Definitely. The safety inspectors and cops would be the enforcers, just like the other islands.

Any more hurdles to jump through or approvals needed? Approximately how long before it goes into effect? Or is it a done deal starts immediately?

    Great News!
My truck passed Recon as it sits now. But I want to go Wider! All the Islands have the same requirements for Safety Check. Only because Oahu has 250K population we were required to have Recon Stickers.

Yes I run flaps that I made myself. My tires are 12.5x35R18 on 18x10 wheels. I'm also running Spidertrax 1.25" spacers. I'm currently looking for a set of 18x14 so I can ditch the spacers.
These LUND Flares are wider then the BW so I need the spacers to fill out the flares.
