Entune gripe

I really don't like how when I have my Entune music on pause, that putting the truck in reverse cancels that and it starts playing again when I'm in drive moving forward again. Why would it be programmed to do that? Seems to reason that if I want the music paused I'll turn it back on again myself when I'm ready.

Swap out for a cassette deck.

 

Why are you pausing it to back up?

I'm not pausing to back up. It's already on pause, when I go from reverse to forward it turns back on.

I should add that it's a 6MT, don't know if it happens in the automatics.

 

Not once in my life have i paused any music while driving any vehicle i have ever owned. I cannot imagine pausing my music so often that simply putting my vehicle in reverse causes an annoyance lol

 

Probably a lack of technology. The system can't handle keeping music paused and toggle the camera at the same time. It is easily confused. Entune is using old technology and is need of a huge update.

 

So you can hear the parking sensors or blind spot monitoring beep at you.

What audio source? I run a USB cable from the data port to my iPod. Changing gears never causes my iPod to pause *or* restart. The only time my system auto-pauses or auto-unpauses is when I get (or end) a phone call... Not disbelieving or challenging you... Mostly I'm just interested in the specific scenario, since I haven't encountered it with my setup.

Just connecting my iPhone through bluetooth. I tend to pause the player when I'm done instead of turning the volume down. So when I get home at night with the music blaring, I hit pause and get out. Next morning I forget I had the volume so loud and it's all good when I first start up and then back up, but as soon as I'm back in 1st, boom! All this isn't an issue with the volume, I can remember to turn that down. Just that I don't understand why it can't just stay on pause.

 

Entune wants you to listen to music so you dont hear diff whine, sqeaks and clunks, so you dont go visit the stealership.
