That is exactly what they are. Bag in a bag in a bag. I’ve slept in everything from the tropics, Middle East, and the arctic in mine.

Only problem is when you roll onto the stack-o-snaps.

For those of you that have a habitat, interested in your input. I'm thinking about how I'll build it out, and I like the idea of a drawer system for both storage and to raise the deck a little bit and make working inside a little more convenient without having to use those wooden Goose Gear wall chair things. That said, from all the comments about the 'backscratcher' I'm worried about raising the deck height too high and making ingress/egress a pain in the ass.

Anyone using a drawer system in the bed with your habitat? If you were going to, what height drawer system would you cap out at to keep it functional?

I was going to put one in but ultimately decided not to so I could save 200 lbs and the money. I have some wolf pack boxes that get stacked and strapped in. It’s worked pretty well, was way cheaper and significantly lighter. I can also access everything from inside in the event of bad weather.

I thought about a drawer system - mocked one up with a piece of plywood I had lying around. Allowed me to play around with different heights to see how it affected egress and how it made hanging out in the Habitat feel. Might be worth doing if you have some boards that you can play with. I didn't like how it felt getting in and out of the Habitat. Also felt too high when in the Habitat, though it did making getting into the bed easier. I ended up keeping it simple and went with some aluminum and fabric draws that I found on Amazon made by mDesign. Works well for keeping clothes organized and easy to access.

My Cheap drawer system! I left the area nearest the tailgate open, making it much easier to get into the Habitat, then I step up onto the platform. To get up into the truck bed, and then into the Habitat's bed we have two of stools below. They are handy to have for all sorts of things.

Here is our very simple set-up for drawers. We like to keep most of truck bed clear - food and ARB fridge go in the access cab.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

Lookin good alex. I do miss the room the habitat has over my summit but hopefully it works for us. Selling house soon and we will be on the road for who knows how long searching for next place to live.
