Does anyone use a power tuner or power chip? I am looking for the best brand. I want to sure things up with power, gas mileage, and shift points after putting the larger wheels on. Thank you for any responses in advance.

The best most cost effective power tuner would be your right foot.

OVTune for the tune and there is a module that goes behind your dash to correct the speedo and shift points etc after putting on larger diameter tires.

    This.
Also this. Just be firm with your right foot and you can keep it from upshifting in S mode to stay in the powerband. As far as mpg's go, that's on you. You could drive the same route and get 16-21 depending on how you want to do it. If money is no issue, see OVTune

I owned a 07 Tacoma with a 4.0 engine, I put in one of these " chips " what it was / is a resister in line with the MAF sensor, causing the ECU to believe the engine is cold, allowing it to run full rich, at least for awhile, but the ECU is constantly learning, information from the coolant Temp. sensor and MAP sensor and other sources, The ECU will lean the system back to acceptable parameters. and may cause a CEL to come in. My personal advice, Just leave it alone, unless you are willing to go with some costly upgrades. Stay away from the CAIs and the aftermarket Exhaust systems, both good for more noise, but there is no tangible proof that eather is effective for performance or fuel efficiency.
