The locker can only be used in 4LO. I don't use 4LO often.

I use the locker when:
1. I'm stuck
2. I couldn't make it up a hill after couple tries
3. When I know it's a dangerous situation

 

I bought the sport, I wanted the manual. There were two available, my Blue pearl and the inferno red OR. I didn’t care about the lockers because I was sure I wanted to it ARBs in when I regear soon. I also planed to lift anyway. I like the look of the OR, and even Plasti dipped my flares black. Also because I can peel it off later if wanted. With all the crap I’ve put on it, the only things identifying it as a sport are the scoop and it says sport on the bed.

As for the lockers, I haven’t ever needed them. The 4X4 has worked every time. I admittedly haven’t been buried in mud(only to the bed sides) and don’t rock crawl at all. But it would be nice for piece of mind.

Lastly, I’ve never owned anything that I’ve modded this heavily before and I kinda like doing it. From winch/bumper, to lift and wheels/tires I’m enjoying the ride.
