It’d be easier to say what is not done to it.
B29A7C81-BE7C-4530-B239-5A312BE25185.jpg Whatsup y’all. I’m new to TW(well not really, but new to posting comments). I’ve probably already met some of y’all, but I bought @ponethousands build almost a year ago. I’ve heard he was a pretty noteable character in the area, but when the truck sold it disappeared for a few years. I’m here to bring it back to life and back into the off-roading scene instead of hopping curbs at the mall. In 8 months, I’ve been able to break 3 CV’s (front locker says F U) I climbed and camped Potts mountain for my maiden voyage(by myself and my fiancè) I’ve camped flagpole a few times (boring). Gone to Carola, NC about 5 times to do some beach driving. I’m aware I bought a built rig, but I’m here to learn and have fun. So far, I’ve rewired many of the instruments installed a 2nd on board air compressor, bought and installed new tires( 35” maxxis trepadors), and installed a new CB antenna. The tires Paul left on the truck we’re still on it when I purchased it(the year on them were 2011). The camber wear was terrible like it had been raised improperly. I got it aligned and everything set to 0 by Eastern. Thank you all for the warm welcome to the Toyota life these last 8 months, I plan to own a Tacoma the rest of my life at this point because I love it so much. lemme see what y’all are driving so I know to look for y’all on the road. BTW I work on USCG base Portsmouth if any of y’all do as well. 56AFCFF5-EC8D-4EFD-85CA-197697DE8E83.jpg

Oh, and I’m moving to Key West FL for 3 years starting Jun2020. So sorry if my build slows down for a while. I plan to move to the PNW after.

Just got some jba uca's...and wanna get them installed. When i got stationed here I left most of my tools in San Diego.. so I started to try to get quotes for install and the cheapest I found was $250. Navy Norfolk has their hobby shop with lifts and all the tools. Could use an extra set of hands if anyone is available! I can pay with food and beer!

Nice! I'll have to keep an eye on your rig. I have a black 2nd gen. And we do PT at your base. But I'm stationed at Suffolk

I put them on mine with no problem. You should be able to do them yourself but an extra set of hands do help. I would say I could help you out if you wanted to go to Oceana's hobby shop but this weekend is my anniversary. No way she would let me go have fun. I might be able to help if you wanted to do next Saturday.

I'll be at the Norfolk naval auto hobby shop tomorrow. Trying to I stall my jba UCAs, if anyone is free and wants to swing by and help that would be awesome. I can pay with food and beer for your time lol.

Also, does anyone have any recommendations for people or shops that can weld on some sliders for me for a decent price? :)

Good luck my guy. Just be patient with that UCA bolt. She's a big one.

@EatSleepTacos is your man for all your welding needs. That man can do it all. #Randyfab

Not for sliders  I’ve welded on one pair before and it was so horrible. I don’t do them anymore.

Put on the uca's at the hobby shop by myself... Took 6 hours lmao.. the right side bolt on the spindle got effed up by Toyota last time I brought it in there. Ended up having to cut the whole bolt off. Lol. But other than that it wasn't too bad. Glad I saved a ton of money than bringing it to a shop.
