    Hi guys!!

Been making my way through the forum, plotting, scheming, and selecting parts for my 2016 TRD Sport. I weighed a bunch of options, first looking at a basic OME, then a BP-51 kit, then Fox, and I ended up ordering a kings setup from @HeadStrong Off-Road Marie was crazy helpful, shipping was fast, can’t wait to make my next order! You stock Air Lockers and gears Marie?! Haha

I went with kings extended travel, 700lb springs, adjusters in the rear (all that was in stock and I’m impatient haha), Heavy Dakar pack, and SPC UCAs.

For wheels and tires I went lvl 8 MK6 in 16x8 0 offset wrapped in 285/75R/16 General Grabber ATX. (Wheels still enroute from direct)

I know some will say it’sgoing to be a stiff ride but I’m of the camp that I only want to do this once and it won’t be long before before I’ve got a rack on top of my diamondback, front and rear bumpers, an RTR and who knows what other goodies.

I am debating pulling a leaf from the heavy pack until I add more weight but unsure...Opinions ?

I will likely regear to 5.29 before I add the rest of the weight (some say 4.88, based on where I’m heading 5.29 makes sense) as i feel like I may be frustrated with the performance of the truck after all this is installed but I guess I can’t judge that until it’s done. I’m also going to OVTune and correct speedo first to see where that lands me.

Now I just gotta find a shop around Tampa Bay that understand the SPC for an alignment. I’ve read through the threads here, and I’m an engineer (albeit Cisco networking), but I still am not wrapping head around it properly. I get set to neutral and have them not touch caster and get camber and toe to 0 ? Something like that ?

Any advice/tips/tricks for the build is appreciated. I’m new to Tacoma but come from a heavily modded m4. Always looking for help along the way and wanted to share my excitement with you all. I’ll update as build progresses through the weekend!

***After a snafu with a ding dong local mechanic, having him botch what he was doing and me having to ask him to leave, I sacked up and made the time to get it done.

    I didn’t take measurements, sorry ! Lol.

The toughest part was the heavy pack Dakars. Very tough to manipulate the weight of those when your on the ground.

    PICS!!!!

Had the wheels and tires mounted and balanced and an alignment done today. I love it !

Got a local mobile mechanic out to help. Camber is looking real strange, hope I’ll be able to make it to an alignment shop!

Nice rig. I'm doing the exact same front suspension set up, but a slightly bigger tire. What were your alignment camber/ caster settings on the SPC after alignment?

Yep that was the snafu I was talking about with the local mobile mechanic. Camber was positive af. The guy was an ass and an idiot. Got it swapped around and an alignment, finished all the work my self.

Got under and re torqued everything yesterday. Still getting some small sound on acceleration. Barely audible, like something clicking in and out of place. Thought maybe the skid plate was tapping the sway bar but doesn’t seem to be it. I still need to install the rear drive shaft drop spacers. Maybe that will help.

@rawlobst3r what position did you have on your SPC LR UCAs when you installed on your truck. Do you have alignment specs you can share?upload_2020-2-5_23-38-58.jpg
