I think the main thing to look for is that it is GL-4 with minimal sulphur in the blend

Well found that the morons at the dealership cross threaded my transmission drain plug last time I had the fluid changed and almost completely stripped out my hex headed front differential drain bolt! Seriously I’m livid how hard is it to insert a damn bolt!!

What fluid you going with

 

All of the Toyota brand fluids except for the transmission all I could find that was GL-4 was redline MT90 and it looks like guys have had good luck with it. I’m disappointed I didn’t do it myself the first time. I didn’t know it was so easy. Now I have to go back and fight the dealership on this.

 

Yes at the very least get them to give you a new plug and tell them you will install it

The Toyota brand front and rear diff oil came in a can. The redline transmission oil came in bottles.

Amzoil GL4. One of the best oils out there. Plus it’s in a easier squeeze bag so you don’t have to use a pump.

 

Oh nice thanks. That does look easier than the hand pump. I’ll try it next time.
