    Just traded my piece of crap 2006 Ford F-150 XLT 4WD extended cab (to be fair it was good for about 5 years before it started to become a money pit) for a 2014 2.7l 4cyl 2WD 5 speed MT Tacoma access cab. I've had it for 5 days and absolutely love it. My wife (of 28 years) has had 3 Toyota cars over the years and we've never had to do anything major to any of them, so I decided to try a Tacoma since the needed repairs to the F-150 would cost just about what it was worth. I initially wanted a 4WD double cab, but was shocked to see what 6-7 year old 4WD Tacomas were going for.
    Once I took the Taco for a test drive, I was immediately impressed by the quietness inside the cab while driving and the build quality. I was sold after a few miles of driving. Living in the Pacific NW with our temperate climate, I decided that 4WD wasn't super important and that a 2WD would be fine.
    Anyways, to make a long story short, after driving about 90 miles since I bought it, I'm super thrilled with my purchase (not to mention way better gas mileage than the 5.4l F-150).
    I'm happy to be part of the Tacoma family and and will be a frequent visitor this forum.

    Thank you sir! One question: Should the clutch pedal have any free play? Mine has no play but shifts just fine. Just wondering if I should have a little play to ensure clutch life (the truck has 63,300 miles on the odometer).
