I had my 2018 Tacoma SR5 at the Toyota Dealership this week to handle a few small warranty fixes.

One of which was replacing the driver's side visor with lighted vanity mirror.

When I got in the truck the next morning, I noticed that the dome light didn't come on. I tried the switch in all positions and it wouldn't light up. (The map lights and visor lights work just fine.) I pulled the bulb and it looks fine. I also put my meter on the contacts where the bulb goes and I'm not getting any voltage with the switch in any position.

I could just take it back to the Dealership, but I don't mind handling a small fix if that's all it is.
I'd search hard for the fuse, but I think the map lights are on the same fuse and they are working just fine.

    Ideas?

I would take it back to the dealer. Sounds like they might of fried something when they were working on the lighted mirror. Tell them the problem started happening as soon as you got your truck back.

    Yeah.....
That's what I'm afraid of when the map lights were on and I can't get any voltage at the dome light contacts. :\

Might be a good idea to check other lights and switches throughout the truck to make sure nothing else is affected.

Everything else seems to be fine so far. Map and visor lights are working. Headlights and dash lights came on just fine.

I just e-mailed my Service Advisor and will probably try to run it by tomorrow. I'm just not going to drop it off for the day to check this out though.

    Thanks!

    Check for a blown fuse.

I figured it out. 100% me problem.

Not only can you control the dome light AT the dome light, but there is another conteol between the map lights. :/

    Problem solved.
