    9? I counted 7. I guess I’ll check again.

Don't use WD40 on the spring packs, it just attracts more dirt and causes more noise. Just make sure there is an air gap on either side of the leafs when you look on either side of those spring brackets. If you have to spray something on the springs to clean them, hit it with a little brake clean and wire brush to get the dirt out.

Just thought of something else, when you put those new leaf packs in did it raise it higher than stock height? Did you put longer shocks on it? It could be the shocks topping out. Take the shocks off and flex it, it will bounce like hell but listen for the noise and did you put a longer rear brake flex line on it?

Good thought. Yes the height went up quite a bit. I’d say as far as 2 inches. The shocks are OME nitrochargers. No I did not do the longer brake line. Should I order one?

I did when I did my lift, that rubber line gets real tight and when you are flexing the suspension you don't want that thing to break. As with the shocks longer ones will give you more travel and won't top out giving you the clunk noise. Were the OME's for stock height?

Sorry for the late update. Still happens. After doing some research on this site I found that a lot of people have issues with noisy Dakar’s. Particularly the front main eye bushing. I am now getting squeaks coming front there on occasion so I’m starting to think it’s that. I ordered some rubber bushings from wheelers and hope to find time to install those this weekend.
