FYI - @Taylor@KC HiLiTES is traveling and working double duty, he is pretty challenging to get a hold of right now. There is a bit more info on their vendor thread.

Maybe someone had asked this before and would know the answer. I see online they have a jeep kit with harness. Is there anything like that for us? Would like to put 6 of these on my truck but hate piecing thins together.

a harness really isnt needed. i bought a switch to fit next to my factory foglight switch. connected it to constant power right next to the fuse box and grounded it behind the kick pannel. clean, simple, done.

i have no regrets with my difused cyclone kc's @crashnburn80 made the decision simple with all his testing. thank you:hattip:

i went with clear underbody lighting. but @crashnburn80 just helped me mount up some rigid d-series foglights. i think the amber kc's would compliment it very well. maybe our lighting guru could thow his opinion out on this.

For those that started running the KC Cyclones after reading this thread, how are they holding up? I wanted to go with them but reading numerous reviews on Amazon of them failing or moisture in them has me hesitant. I wonder if that's why some of the lights in the review are injected with that plastic stuff, to help with durability from being mounted under a truck.

@crashnburn80 - I'd be curious to know how these $13 lights perform compared to the big names. I compared (visually) the output to a BD rock light I have and they appear to be brighter.

Note that Baja has some of the worst performance in rock lights as shown in the lux measurements below compared to the competition, so it wouldn't be surprising to find a light to outperform it. The light you have listed is labeled as a reverse camera 'backup light', not sure why that is a thing since the camera should just use your reverse lights. And if wanting brighter reverse lights, I'd do this. However, while even if your new found light is brighter, I bet Baja lasts longer and is a better color temp.

I'm usually up for testing proposed products, but I currently have a major backlog after having my equipment offline for a few months and way too many products stacking up, and I also try to stick to quality major name brands so that recommended products are in it for the long haul vs the cheap Amazon chinesium of off brands with short/if any warranties.

I don't get the reverse light-specific thing. It's a light. Use it where you want light. I put one in the cap on my 1st gen. Works great. I guess I'll find out how long it lasts.

Agreed, I think in this case it is just the angled mount vs a rock light that has a traditional flat mount.

Edit: the angled mount does look to work really well in those locations though!

Well depends on what/where you are trying to illuminate. Now I have cheap Amok knockoffs of the Rigids but I'm running 11 of those to get some good illumination.
This was before I added one more on each side and one dead center in the back.
