    Hello,
About a month ago I took my Tacoma to the dealer (Tarbox in RI) to get a diagnosis of a squeak in the engine bay (taken care of). Since I took it to the dealer, however, I've been smelling something like burning gas or plastic when the truck is idling and sitting still. If I turn the air on, I can smell it coming through the vents in the cabin, of course when I turn on recycle it stops taking air in from outside and I can't smell it anymore. I checked my engine bay, and saw a hose leading from the injectors to the intake was disconnected, so I reconnected it. My problem still hasn't gone away, does anyone have recommendations for me?

Clean the engine bay for starters, and see if you spot any leaks, especially in hotter areas close to the exhaust.

See if you can get the gasket that seals the hood to the top of the firewall to seal better. Fresh air should pull from the cowl, not across the engine bay.
