Maybe the first one. But I can see the suction failing if it gets too heavy on the ends . I usually only have two rods anyhow and the UL can go on the outside.... could have something here. Thanks:thumbsup:

Caught this pig in some skinny water in the hills of TN this past November.

Got a shit ton more of beautiful TN fish but this one trumps it.

Yessir. It was 24-1/2” and weigh 7.13. Kinda skinny for the length. If it was around spawn it would have been over 8.

Hell, I wouldn't either Haha. By the way Murph, I see from your avatar you use a buzzbait without trailer or trailer hook. I just started using a buzzbait and I've been using a paddle tail trailer and I'm going to start using a trailer hook because I've already missed a fish once. Would you mind giving me your thoughts on your buzzbait set up?

Come on down to East TN and I’ll show y’all around. Smallmouth and largemouth galore. When you throw a buzz bait, ALWAYS throw a trailer hook on it. 65% of the time the fish will short strike it. I don’t do it because I’m lazy but It’s mandatory to increase your hook up ratio and landing ratio

@SouthernYoder @1buzzbait Thanks for the tips and the links you guys. I've been throwing white but I'm gonna get myself a black for sure, as well as some trailer hooks.

oh,, black is NOT my fav chartreuse and white is my fav, black works well for snakeheads, but I use a less expensive buzzbait for them

Ive had my best day on a black buzzbait. Color doesn’t really matter with buzzbaits. And if you don’t believe me, take the skirt off and throw it without one :D

it helps the fish key in on the bait, yes, but you don’t need anything on a buzzbait really. They see it and think it’s schooling shad busting.

It’s all power fishing here in TN but I love a challenge and have been finesse fishing this past year. That fish I caught in that picture was caught on a ned rig on 8lb mono In 15’ of water LOL. I love a drop shot, man. You can catch anything anywhere on that rig as well as a ned rig.

Remember, big fish eat small baits too. Lol.
