    Glad you made it through ok. This does unfortunately seem to vary dealer to dealer on what they try to get away with. I had a great experience and paid $0.

    anyone in a similar boat looking for advice all I can add is to go around beforehand and spray pb blaster on everything you can think of that may want to give them trouble. For example, the bed bolts and shock mounts are a regular culprit as I understand.

    I would also strongly suggest doing some dealer research before taking your truck in so you can feel confident about who has your truck before the process even begins. Make sure you go with someone who has done a bunch of these frames and have a talk with the service advisor and see how you feel about them. If they seem shady, keep shopping. If they seem like they have incorrect info, maybe that’s a sign they’re trying to either screw you or that perhaps they just haven’t quite done enough if these and you should go elsewhere
