Driving for 26 years and never experienced pure lack of control due to a flash freeze. The only good thing was by the time the truck hit the concrete barrier I was only doing 20mph or less.

But now the good. She's broke so I can start the front-end mods or go back to factory. If I take things back to factory it's my $1000 & an insurance ding, but I think that same money can go a long way.

Been looking at several things but given the damage my options might be limited. I'm leaning towards Fab Fours = https://puretacoma.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=254_892_1013&products_id=6800

Could use some good old constructive suggestions!

Judging by the hood/fender lines, that truck needs to go to a good body shop.
Sorry, but glad it wasn't worse.

Yea, that hood and front quarter may require professional help.

I think the hood is good it's just the bumper being pushed back and down is making it seem bent. The front quarter might just need mounting screws loosened and "adjusted". Thanks for looking.

Fender get pushed back into the driver door? You are over $1k in factory parts alone.

if you are dead set on doing it yourself start taking it apart. i would start with the bumper cover and the driver fender. Look for things that look irregular. You have a spare vehicle right? in this weather a garage is a must

Take off the front end. If the fender and hood aren’t damaged you should be able to get that gap back where it needs to be. Gotta take stuff apart to know for sure. Good luck.

Looking above and under last night, the driver side light top mounts are broke so that will need to be replaced. The grill and bezel is broke. No damage of movement to any mounting points that I can find other than the driver side fender.

Please don’t ruin another truck with that FabFours bumper. It looks like the truck has a massive chin with that thing installed. My guy at Erik @state48overland can hook you up with a sweet Demello bumper that looks awesome and serves a purpose. Send him a dm.

for some reason if he isnt wanting to spend 1k to fix his truck through the insurance why would he pay 1,250 for a bumper?

Sure looks like you have a lot more underlying damage than you think. By what I see in your pic's, looks like drivers fender is pushed out, which means inner fender support is pushed out. What most likely, caused this is radiator support being pushed back. Just guessing by pic's.

The long term cost of my rate going up due to a claim would negate the $1500 to $2000 on going custom. I'm still trying to weigh my options plus as mentioned by others I need a body shop to confirm that all is just cosmetic at this point.

Bring it to a frame alignment shop and let them examine if the frame is straight. If it is, go aftermarket front bumper at the least.

I'm definitely not a body guy but I was looking all around for anything pushed or that could have shifted. Mainly looking at all connecting points and/or anything obvious.

Thanks for that and I'll look at the radiator supports more closely

Have you had previous claims? Why are you so certain your rates will go up if you make a claim here?

"HELP!" in thread titles is traditionally reserved for people who are stuck and need recovery assistance. Might want to change that.

Yeah, high hit, sure looks like radiator support may have been damaged

Curious too. No claims, have insurance earn their money. Bolting on aftermarket bumper and other doodads will be much easier on a straight truck.

Because he posted a link to an aftermarket bumper in his original post.
