I under estimated my last move. Absolute murder.

I'm hiring movers the rest of my years.

We just moved, sold my house and moved my business to a new location at the same time, it sucks, I think I tossed about 50% of my shit in the dumpster.

My last move was 17 years ago.

The wife and I agreed we’d pack up like we’re moving every year just to weed out crap we don’t need. We haven’t...

Now we have 17 years worth of accumulated crap.. I will not be moving anytime soon...

Good Luck @Toywoodsguy82 , you’ll be done soon.

I don't hang onto much stuff at all, it's great.

My dream home is 900sqft with a two car garage. I'm living in half that space with no garage.

We moved last spring after 30 years in the same house. To temporary housing (a friends empty) while the new housing was completing.

Moved into new place end of Sept and promptly left the country for 2 weeks.

    Still not totally settled.

However, yea, moving really isn't fun.

The plan is to sell this house. Pay off all our debt except for the cars (not making enough to do that also) then stack some cash buy some property and put a smallish home on it... 900-1100 sf. 1-3 acres unless it’s mostly wooded then I might do more. Shop and nice entertaining area.

Done for the weekend. All the heavy heavy shit and everyday stuff will be moved next weekend after we officially sign paperwork selling our house.

I don't have much, been here since '81. My garage is still used to garage my truck and motorcycle, plenty of room for my stove and lantern collection. First few moves when I was in my 20's involved just my Datsun pickup or my Pinto.

Agreed!!! Moving SUX. I've had 2 sons go through college, 4 years each, 2 moves per year. Then the oldest son decided to move once/year after that for 5 years...UGH!!!
Then a friend asks me to help him move and try to lure me with 'free beer and pizza'?!?
I'd rather pay $500 for beer and pizza relaxing at home... yeah, NO THANX
