Read some other posts on here cause I didn’t wanna make one if there was already like 10+ posts made on this subject but I have an ‘03 2.7L and it’s the two piece skid plate, I took the 3 bolts off in the front right under the radiator, there were two bolts in the middle right under the oil pan, and two more at the end of the second skid plate and this thing will not move, there’s a little play in the front where the three bolts were, but right where the oil pan is I can’t get it to move at all, feels like it’s still bolted in, I counted 7 bolts and that’s what everyone has been saying it can either be 5-7 bolts depending on the year and type of skid plate but am I missing something? Am I just dumb enough that I missed like 1 or 2 bolts and that’s why it feels like it’s still bolted cause I’m under there checking and feeling around and I got nothing please let me know what I’m doing wrong

edit: solved the problem, missed the two bolts hidden deep above the skid plates on the frame, thank you everyone that helped and to the guy who pointed that one out to me

Also, the second skid plate came out just fine it’s the first one from the radiator to the oil pan that I can’t get off for the life of me

    4 run, 2 don't
There are little metal hooks that grab where the front bolts are.

Can't take a pic of mine since I just pulled off the skid last week and have been running without a skid plate.

The middle two bolts you took off were bolts connecting both skid plates together. There are two more you can see through the holes in the first skid where are bolts mounting the rear part of the first skid to the frame. They are deep inside these holes.

Oh I thought you said you had them all off.

    Yeah you can't miss it.

The skid plate is absolutely smooth, so the only "holes" are where the bolts are.

    There are total 9 bolts
3 mounting the front of the first skid to the frame
2 mounting the rear of first skid to the frame (hidden in holes)
2 connecting both skids (or mointing the front of the rear skid to the rear of the first skid)
2 mointing the the rear of the second skid to the frame

    Yeah I know.

Super easy; that's why I'm wondering why the OP can't find the bolts.
