In 2017, I saw an '08 RC 5-lug with 20K original miles, and today there was a member in another thread talking about his 2012 RC 4x4 with only 17K on it!

That's nuts to me. I don't think I drive a lot at all (35k on my 2013), but between fishing at the lake every weekend and visiting the girlfriend, the miles add up. I feel like I would have to rarely ever leave the house to have that low of miles (or have a second vehicle).

My mom's 2013 Nissan Murano SV AWD has less than 38K miles on it, but by comparison my dad's 2018 GMC Yukon SLT 4x4 has like 27K miles!

My Grandma bought her 2000 Buick LeSabre new and owned it until 2012 when she gave up driving; Less than 35K miles in 12 years!

My other Grandma had a 2002 Lexus RX300 that she just sold last year and it had only 87K miles on it!

many (but not all) of the meters in the area I parked had temp tow away tags, but I parked in a spot with no temp tow sign
I paid $2.00 with my credit card to park there for 3 hours
when I came down 2 hours later, taco was gone
I had to walk 3 miles to the tow yard (near 7th & harrison) from the embarcadero

if I could not park there, why did the meter take my credit card payment
if the meter is smart enough to take a credit card payment, shouldnt it also be smart enough to tell me not to park there?

what a scam, this is how SF (& most liberal run metro areas) rip off their fellow law abiding citizen to advance their govt financial agenda
(which is to write more laws & hire more people to right laws/enforce them)

not too stressed though...I paid with amex & plan to file a dispute
amex lawyers will fuck you up stupid city of SF

CHEERS TO ALL THE HATORADE SIPPING PARKING PATROL wanabe cops

I agree with you that San Francisco sucks; My cousin lives there and they held her Honda Civic hostage for several hundred dollars!

California has to pay for all their bad decisions somehow. .. So they go after the average working stiff to cover for all the wasted money!!!

I got dinged for $38 dollars in fines there. One was a toll violation, I thought they would just bill me the toll like WA state does NOPE! The other was a parking garage in downtown Sacramento that ate my parking fee and didn’t open the gate! Parking security guy was not flinching and wrote me an IOU! I gotta pay both tomorrow.

    I couldn’t ever live there!
