Are you saying you just want to have the camera NOT come on while in reverse (when switch is on)

    The wire you want is
    24 pin harness
    Pin 2
    Grey wire

this is the reverse trigger that tells the radio you’re in reverse, which activates the camera view.

cut this wire and add in a very simple SPST switch/toggle.

when switch is up, reverse trigger passes through and camera shows
When switch is down, reverse trigger doesn’t pass through and camera doesn’t show.

this is also the same wire used for the anytime camera mod. supply 12v power to this wire when not in reverse and the radio sees the backup trigger and shows the camera.

well i have more problems.......I put the switch in and it worked fine in the testing stage......I then bolted the radio back in and put the trim back on.......now when i crank the truck i have no power to the radio as if the fuse is blown......i find the fuse to keep the preset channels hot but not one for power.......my other thougt is i have tripped an anti-theft switch which turns off the power.......HELP!

Well let me post a fix.......because asking the question with out a follow up sucks.......checked all of the fuses.....under the hood where the radio fuses should be there are no fuses......under the dash on the drivers side and very hard to get there......there are no fuses marked radio.....took my power probe and tested all the fuses......found a 7.5 with no power....marked ECU ACC....and damn if that was't it
