We just got a VacMaster VP215 chamber sealer. I love this thing. Who else has one? What cool non-food stuff do you use it for?

This is a heavy base layer (top and bottom), heavy wool gloves/mittens, a fleece beanie, and my heaviest hunting socks.

It all packed down into this, about 9 x 6 x 3-4 inches. Gonna leave it in my truck for now, and put it in my pack come fishing/hunting time.

I also used it to seal some other emergency gear - dryer lint for tinder, emergency blankets, etc. No pics, but it sealed it all up really tightly.

As for food, this is ten bone-in pork chops.

And this is 7.5lb of ground beef.

We hit Costco this weekend and bought a bunch of blocks of cheese that we grated and sealed and save dollars per pound. We also bought salmon, ground pork, and beef stew meat. I can't wait for spring, summer, and fall. Hoping to use this bad boy on some trout, rockfish, crabs, grouse, deer, elk, mushrooms, berries, yadda yadda yadda. It'll take a little while, but this thing will eventually pay for itself.

I just have a standard foodsaver, but i have a mason jar attachment that i infuse bronze bushing with new oil. Pull a vacuum on one of those and you see a micro bubbles come out of the bearing. At work we have a 3d printer which uses silicone lined trays. We refurbish them, pour new silicone and vacuum the bubbles out.

On food, depending on what it is, i pre freeze the item slightly so it doesnt lose its shape. Premade burgers are a perfect example.
