So I was about to order some smoked amber raptor lights from running for tacos but then I scrolled and read the fine print which said they do not fit OEM pro grills. I have a trd pro model meaning I obviously have the OEM grill. I don’t get why they would make them not fit but I also don’t care. My question is what are some other companies that you guys bought raptor light kits from for an OEM grill. I was thinking yotaleds but there 100$. Does anyone have them and are they worth it?? Thanks

My running4tacos fit my oem pro grille. Some of their YouTube videos 2018-2019 videos had some trimming to file down a certain row slot. My fit with no trimming. I’ve had mine about a year and a half so not sure if they changed them.

I put a set in my 2020 AG Pro this past weekend - bought them from R4T: https://www.runnin4tacos.com/products/2016-2019-tacoma-trd-pro-raptor-lights-3-kit and found the quality and fit to be perfect.

I can only speak to the fitment issue with the 2020s but I assume it may be the same with others, as well. The top row of openings on the Pro grill is only half-height - the upper half is filled with plastic as opposed to the others. So, if you want to place them in the top row of openings, you need to remove the plastic in order for them to snap in place. I didn't want to do that so I placed mine in the row with the camera, spaced 2 on either side. They clipped into the grill without issue and the whole installation took about 30 minutes to zip tie the wires and run the add-a-fuse through the fuse box.

Got mine off Amazon about a year ago $37 bucks....I would just check the wire end of the light for water tightness. Seems to be an area of water infiltration for some across different vendors.

Okay just to simplify this thread... Runnin 4 tacos has a YouTube video where he explains how to install the runnin 4 tacos lights into an OEM or knock off grille.

Look up Taco Twonz I think on YouTube. That’s the runnin 4 tacos guy. Then make your decision. It is a simple fix if you must have those lights. I don’t care for them but I understand other people do so I just wanted to help you out with quick and simple information for the original lights you considered.

I even found you the video. https://youtu.be/wlo1MJgI3vg

Haha wish I would seen that before I ordered the r4t ones. Whatever tho. I’m gonna throw something at you guys tho instead of making a new thread. Raptor tail lights! Cali raised? Or these. https://i1motor.com/taillights/toyota/tacoma/wj20-0466-05.html There roughly the same price. Think maybe same companies like the grill lights?! Let me know what you guys think.
