What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

This is what happens when a country with no building codes trys to fix an eroding shoreline.

Yesterday my battery finally kicked the bucket. It was replaced under Toyota warranty back in 2016 so I guess it lived it's life. Went to the local auto store to look for a battery, they had no 27F's in stock so I ended up calling AAA. No kidding, within 2 minutes the guy was at my house, within 15 minutes my battery was replaced. That was the first time I've ever used the 'roadside assistance' AAA offers, and damn i'm impressed. Anyways, 36 month free replacement warranty, another 36 month prorated warranty for 72 months total of some sort of warranty.

 

Whatever works right ill be receiving what @TrailYeti has today excited but sadly my clips is not arriving today so no rear fenders for a hot minute lol

 

Those clips suck. I used to order them by the bag load on ebay. Now I just zip tie them on

 

Dont get me tempted lol still not putting my shoes on sadly looks so wierd with 16" and 265/70R16 on it when fenders are cut lol still wondering if a 35x12.5R17 on a 17x9 3.5 -38 offset will fit? if not ill be going on a 315x70R17

Get cooper 315s. They're like a 31

 

WARN or Victory: Both look pretty cool. Is there a preferred brand? Reliability, Customer Service, etc...

I like how the Victory one, covers up the cut marks on the bumper. I know that is gunna be all kinds of messed up so that's a plus, lol

WARN seems like a more well know brand (meaning: I have heard of them before) They make winches right?

 

Get the Victory bumper and a Warn Winch and support both companies

I can personally vouch for Victory 4x4. The fit and finish of the blitz bumper is awesome.

 

I really love my Victory strike bumper. I also really like how the Victory bumper has a spot for a light bar, it looks like the warn bumper does not.

Out of curiosity, why not go with the full steel front bumper? For 2nd gen guys like us, the install is fairly easy and doesn't require any cutting.

 

315s are small now (I should upgrade)
Need 345/70/17

 

The next time I switch tires sizes I'm going 40+. Obviously the truck suspension will change at that point. Until then I'll stick with these little coopers. They're nice tires!

 

yea, my ST Maxx have been great. I am starting to see some dry rot after 2 years/28k miles though

 

My Tacoma is pretty factory with the factory suspension and I don't want to add all that extra weight to my front end if it's not really necessary. I don't go off road that often. When I go camping, having a winch to get myself out of a jam would be nice. My truck is 4x2 so getting stuck is always a possibility. I'm just looking to upgrade the cheap-o bull bar I have with something functional.
