Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
Not 100% sure if his new wiring harness will have a lead from the light off the old ETC button or if you will just need to tap onto the instrument lights?

Good point. I wasn't even thinking of that :facepalm:I was more curious about just fitment of everything. I guess that leads me into my next question if these new DIY kits about to drop have that lead built in for the backlit strap? If not I'd be happy to wait for a DIY kit with a new button and harness including the backlit strap.

When you get the backlight figured out, any chance you'll release it as a DIY upgrade in addition to a full kit?

You're probably right, but it never hurts to ask. Inquiring wallets want to know!

I’m interested as well. I have an early generation single side. Would like the smoother switches and dual option. Would be willing to pay a fee to have it done. Just send mine in and get it returned a few weeks later. I have my old one to work in the interim.

Also curious if getting a complete knob in this next drop if we're able to simply add the backlit TRD cover later or if will need to get a new version knob/kit when that gets added?

    UPDATE:
I am going to streamline these into ONE VERSION. It will be called the STEALTH SHIFT KNOB (available in red or black) and will come with the complete wiring and BOTH side buttons. If someone only wants a left, or right they can choose not to install the other side. It makes it much easier on my end to keep track of inventory, SKUS, etc. Also I had all the main harnesses made up for the dual buttons in anticipation for this.

People have asked me how close the color is to the stock red.
I made them to be an exact match. The fit and finish could pass as OEM
    [IMG]

If purchasing a COMPLETE KNOB, I include the OEM sides in case you want to only run a single button.
Also, you will notice the increase length of wires coming off the knob. This is one of the improvements made to make install easier.

    I've been a little busy..

Last, I made a quick install video on the DIY kit to show people how easy it really is. 1 minute or less:D

Are you still working on the version with the TRD backlit piece on the knob?

Yes. But it won’t be ready for a while until I get the custom ribbon harness produced. But once ready, it will be even quicker to install then the side buttons.

His backlight piece looks amazing compared to my resin molded piece and will be very easy install. Especially if you already have the stealth buttons installed.

    love it buddy!

Do we know how it will get power yet? Do we just tap into another power source with a t-splice? Only turns on when parking lights are activated?

edit: for the back lit I mean

I think, I'll just wait for the complete back lit TRD stealth knob.

Just wanna say I wish every business operated as well as Stew runs his. Gave me a hefty discount on the new switches to upgrade from V1 and sent an invoice very soon after asking. Stoked for the new switches! This is one of the smartest mods IMO. Reminds me of my old first gen with OD on the shifter.
