RX350 AFS bixenon projector swap using adapter bracket

So I ordered non-afs projectors from TRS however they sent me the afs version with the adapter brackets. Has anyone used this combo to perform the conversion? Is it ideal or would i be better off sourcing non-afs projectors?

My understanding the afs portion doesn't need to be used and that you may have extra modifications to make it fit around the bottom. Otherwise I don't think too much extra modding is needed a lot of those projectors are sourced from the actual vehicle. so you may get ones with stems on top for turning lights or that gear drive for leveling on the bottom usually you can remove them or work around them.

 

Just requires a tad more trimming, nothing crazy
