    Howdy,
I was wondering what you use to keep the frame looking like new. What I use now is Simple Green and pressure wash. But there is still a lot of wipe down and you have to scrub a lot. Is there a spray on hose off method that doesn't take a crew to get done. lol Just looking for a easier way.

    Be Safe..

Even with these ceramic coatings and a pressure washer the paint can't be really cleaned without something wiping it down. No way under a vehicle with those rough surfaces is going to fair better. And if there is a spray that could work it's probably not safe to be spraying around your vehicle.

Not so. 303 Aerospace protectant works wonders underneath a vehicle. I traveled in the mountains of Colorado all the time and before I went I'd spray the entire underbody with 303 and it just washed off. By the time I was done... it looked like it came off the showroom floor.

A303 is a plastic/vinyl/rubber protectant. Not sure why you’d use it elsewhere? Genuinely curious here.

If I can find the pictures of the underside of my truck you'll understand.

Since Photobucket fucked me with all my pictures this is the only one that I could find that let you see how clean everything was under the truck. Spray 303 all over it and wash it off once you get back. Crawl under and clean what you can reach and it looks like it's showroom new.

Wow, you guys sure have some pretty undersides!

I can see doing this where roads are salted, but not out here in the desert. We just run through puddles and call it good.

That scrubbing bubbles foam shower cleaner is good stuff. Very strong and I've used it in the spring to clean mud and undercoating off the exposed sections of my new frame (almost 3 years old now) a good pressure washer makes a big difference as well

I think the effect that he's seeing is much the same as you'd get from spraying any tire dressing / Armor All / silicone type product underneath a vehicle. It will look better. Does it actually clean or protect the underside? That's another whole discussion. I've sprayed Mequiar's Hyper Dressing in the wheel wells and on the underside of vehicles to temporarily make them look better too. (Old detailing trick.) It doesn't do crap to clean them, but they look better.

you could try griot's garage foaming surface wash or Star-brite salt off, i had my undercarriage ziebarted when I got the truck, and before winter, i coated everything in fluid film, so my input may be useless.

as far as products like simple green and purple power go, keep in mind they can harm aluminum and tend to leave a residue. so what is more important to you: removing every trace of road spray, or protecting the frame and factory coatings, paint, metals?

I have been using Chem Guys Undercarriage spray for a few years now, petroleum based it looks good and helps fight rust and corrosion.
