Oh, and CALFire is using the Broncos for fire spotters, I don't think of those guys as General Aviation but they are really.. They have A and B models mostly I believe..

This one from the OV-10 Squadron is the only privately owned one flying today.

What was it's it's function?

 

Forward Air Control in VietNam and later light ground support, it was a heavily armed capable little aircraft.. Ours came from the Department of State, they used them down in Columbia as Coca field spray planes in the 80s.... If you look closely at the picture behind me on the side of the aircraft there is a Ceramic bullet proof plate, the Drug field owners down there shot at them with pistols and rifles..

Just had an E3 Sentry go over the office here about three times!! You don't see them very often at 800Ft.. Now I'm charged for the day!! And he was flying it like he stole it!!

I live directly under the Military flight path for NTS Fort Irwin and MCAGCC 29 Palms and I see Military aircraft almost daily

 

I'm sure this guy was in a loose pattern for the Shuttle Landing Site, we see some stuff coming and going from there, just east of us.. But they don't generally get this low over downtown... It was awesome though, he had it on a wing tip at one point.. I'm sure the Orlando Controllers were having a cow..

The lowest altitude I've seen Military aircraft up here was five UH 60's Blackhawks flying in formation at 1k ft . Ea were carrying a rifle squad with the side doors open
