Hey yall, long time lurker first time poster here. I hope this post is in the right place. I've been trying to figure this out for a couple of weeks and keep finding conflicting info. I've got 3 months left and my truck is paid off. To celebrate I'm finally going to get a lift kit. I'm wanting 3-4 inches. I dont do any extreme off roading or crawling. But I do use 4 wheel drive almost daily on some pretty rough rutted roads. What I'm looking to buy is a complete kit that has everything I need. I've looked at tons of different kits.. I'm willing to spend about 1,000 give or take a few hundred bucks. I dont need the best of the best, but I want a good quality reliable lift. I dont want to order a kit then have to order 50 additional parts to make the kit work. I'm a heavy equipment mechanic by trade, and have the tools to do almost anything. But I'm a tight ass and I like to just do things right the first time lol I know this had probably been asked 1000 times, but I cant get a straight answer. Along with the recommendations for kits, is there anything else I should do while installing the kit? Anything I should look for or be concerned about? Not sure if I set my signature correctly... truck is a 06 Taco 4.0 DBLC 6 speed MT OR with 132k on the clock.

Imo. I’d go 3”. After that you’ll be in the world of DB kits. More than likely you’ll need new UCAs. I’d call Toytec or Headstrong either one will set you up right.
