I’ve replaced fob batteries and switched fob but I can’t get beyond 10’ away from truck.

curious if anybody has had issues with 12v solutions remote starter?

it worked good (worked 50’+) for the first year but all of a sudden it’s lousy. No I’ve not yet pulled dash apart to disconnect. Wanted to ask if this was a known issue.

All the vendors use the same Fortin control unit...your probably getting RF interference from an aftermarket USB adapter or splitter any of those in the truck?

Mine was real hit or miss too on range. I just ended up installing the cell module from Amazon for 110 bucks and not have to worry about it again.

Hold it up under your chin, the beam will go further out your eyes. Seriously, try this and let us know what happens.

It’s not the starter it’s your factory fob.

I had to upgrade to the long range remote for this exact reason. Though, I never had good range to begin with.

Yes I know I can replace with cell module. Or fab up a big-ass Pringle’s can antenna. Or build a booster for the truck.

My question was if folks had experienced a massive performance degradation over night. So, thanks for anybody with an intelligent thought like the usb splitter or other RF interference. Can’t think of anything off hand but will report back...

My fob is kinda weird, I can lock it from at least 100 yards away but I have to be at least within 10 feet of my truck to unlock it. I’m assuming that’s not normal but at the same time it’s probably safer haha

Sorry my solution of unlimited range for a 100 bucks wasn't intelligent enough.

Hope some folks can learn to read.

For others, realized that I added a usb battery for phone charging etc. since removing, its been much better.
