I can’t speak to the Maxis tires but I can tell you I have been nothing but happy with my St Maxx Coopers. They have been great in any condition and with 57,000 miles on them still have 9/32 tread left. 255/80/17’s

57000??? That's nuts...I'd be supremely happy with 40,000...That's what my coopers on my 1st gen tacoma got...

Got the cooper's mounted and a leveling kit! Can't BELIEVE the difference!

    I can't tell any difference in road noise. 3dB isn't a lot...

The ride is DEFINITELY more rough. Not so much that I care, but you can feel it.

MPG is to be determined. Once I fill up I'll do the maths after I go through a tank...

Power seems unchanged. I drive with ECT Always On, and it actually seems to shift better. It shifts into 4th gear around 45 mph vs 52.

Still on the fence about whether to get the speedo calibrator from Rough Country...

    3 dB actually is a lot, it's 100% louder.

Not trying to argue, just trying to educate someone on how dB works. I was also surprised once I learned about the 3 dB rule. Just like GI Joe taught us, knowing is half the battle.

Back to the original reason for this thread, These tires are fantastic. Granted, I've only got a day and half on them, but if they stay this way, I'm sold forever.
