I made my own LiFePo (Lithium iron phosphate battery) using 4 cells for my trailer. Initial cost is higher BUT it is good for 3000 cycles and I can take it down to flat (if I have to) and the discharge profile
is linear vs a lead acid so adding up the replacement costs of multiple battery replacements makes this option cheaper in the long run. It only weighs about 20ish pounds. I limit my discharge to 10-15% of
capacity which is easer in the battery.
