For my son's truck, maybe Coopers next go around for the taco once the MT01s are done.

Didn't know they were the cool ones, coolest thing for me was the price point.

I had them on my 4runner before it got totaled. really loved those tires and I couldnt tell a difference in road noise between those and the stock tires.

Road noise eh? See the NVH factor in Taco's takes care of that whole deal...

Its so loud in those cabs you couldn't hear if your tires were singing Dolly Parton with your windows down

It might be hard to see but this is the “cab mount” from a new ranger. There are 2 bolts and a removable crash bar thing... pretty sick for fitting big tires of you ask me. Just sharing lol

Ford did say with the Ranger (and Fiat with the Gladiator) that they were built with the modding crowd in mind.

So where exactly does the cab mount in this pic? Is it the two bolts you were talking about? Idk if I'd trust that small hollow tube to secure my truck body to the frame.

Im a fan of the look, can’t get past the no mt option. The trans oil pan is made of plastic but it’s tucked up and would be easily negated with a skid. The suspension components are all made pretty beefy as well which is nice, the uca’s in particular are boxed in as opposed to the rolled steel we get stock.
I’d never choose one over a Toyota for obvious reasons but some of the construction is pretty impressive.

I say cab mount because that’s what the equivalent placement is on a taco, on the ranger I think it’s more of a crash bar to keep the tire out of the firewall, there was nothing mounting the cab to it.

anybody with some big tires on a Tacoma has a hollow cab mount tho lol

If that's the case then it's pretty cool to be able to fit larger tires with minimal work. I've been meaning to dick around the Ford lot and check them out for fun. I like not having a car payment too much right now buy another vehicle. Saw my uncle while visiting family in San Diego and gave him crap about the Ranger Raptor not being in the states yet (He's a Ford car salesman). He jokingly asked if I was interested and I responded with "No, I just need some competition for Toyota so they get their heads out of their asses." We had a good convo about overseas vs stateside models though.

I’ve driven one before, they’re not bad, a little floaty over bumps. The motor has some power for sure but like any turbo it feels pretty anemic until pressure is built. Overall I kinda like them, I’d probably pick one over a 3rd gen if they do away with the clutch
