Sounds like a plan for after work tomorrow! May get something better than a hack saw too for future use. Sawing through that much aluminum was insane.

How close are you to Tigard. There is a place called Gearhead Garage that allows you to rent tool and use their space. Just a thought

If you decide to buy a vise, I would recommend a 6”. I’ve got mine mounted to a 24” or 30” piece of 2x8, mounted with carriage bolts, makes it easy to move between inside the garage and the driveway.

Ya, my 2009 didn't come with interment wipers, it wasn't something I looked for when purchasing the truck because I thought all vehicles came with them. I always looked at them as standard equipment, I really can't believe there can be a lot of saving for Toyota in omitting them is some vehicles, Upon my discovery I purchased a unit and installed it, (very simple) jmop

    Hi,
At how many miles your tie rods went out? Did you install OE or OEM? Any problem with alignment after installation? Any tips?
    Thanks

I only did it for those. Probably a fire extinguisher too, but having that in the cab is best.

Finally finished installing my rigid Radiant scene lights in the rear bumper. The wiring in the engine bay leaves something to be desired. Has anyone had water issues with the relays right there? I decided to route the light power wires with the main harness through the firewall and out the floor grommet. Sealed it with RTV inside and outside so hopefully that doesn’t leak. I think I’m just about done with the truck except for tires. Just waiting for these to wear a little more.

I actually had an issue where it would power up - connect to everything - steering wheel controls, android auto apps, etc --> but it wouldn't produce sound. After going back and forth with Crutchfield, I decided to send it back. I've reinstalled the stock HU and simply decided to run an iPad as the primary screen for GPS, etc.

See my latest post on the Tech Deck.

I installed the same headunit back in December, unfortunately the steering wheel controls work like 7/10 I turn my truck on and sometimes the back up camera repeatedly pops up every 30 seconds. I've just accepted the fact that most head units under 4-500 dollars have some quirks, and I paid like $100 under normal price for black friday. Nonetheless I still really like the display and the features it offers

Anyone know the required bolt for dakars after removing an overload leaf? I've read that the centering pin is not fully threaded, but I'm not sure on the required bolt head size and length for the replacement

Also I read a lot of complaints about the "free" surround that comes with it through crutchfield, but it works perfectly fine not sure why people had so many complaints
