    2020 TRD Offroad
Just purchased my 2020 TRD Offroad early January. Took a while to find the configuration I wanted. My must have were, 4x4 with a V6, 6ft bed, and cement gray. You would not believe how difficult it was to find something like it in Texas. Ended up finding my girl in Virgina and taking a bit of a road trip home to get to know her and gently break her in.

I'd been driving with a friend of mine with a 2019 offroad with a manual transmission. When I was looking for a new vehicle I test drive some other makes, but just didnt feel as at home as I was with Toyota. Graduated myself from a 2003 Toyota Matrix to a Tacoma and couldn't be happier! I plan on rigging it with a camper shell for future travelling exploits.

My same friend and I were entertaining the ridiculous idea of putting a Whale tale on the back of a camper shell during the naming process. Since she's a glossy gray I thought "the Whale" would be fitting in her final form. I settled on "Shamu", despite being an Orca hahaha.

Besides fixing up a camping rig, I'm looking to black out the chrome features to tidy up the look.

The automatic transmission has been my only complaint. Just seems pretty clumsy, (transitions between gears aren't nearly as smooth as I'm used to with a standard which, pardon my pun, has really been grinding my gears). I hear there's some kind of $700 software upgrade program or whatever I might be able to make work.

In other news, I live in Houston TX and work as an EMT on the Mississppi River. Adore traveling, last-minute-planned roadtripping, and camping!

For the most part that concludes my introduction!
