    Hi everyone!

So I’m pretty new not only to the Tacoma world (bought it in December brand used) but to the automotive world. I am hoping to be pointed in the right direction regarding this little inconvenience I’ve got. So three days after I got it, I let my girlfriend drive my truck (I know that was my first mistake) while I was at school, and once I return I come to this. So, I would be incredibly grateful if the community could first let me know what tools and such I need and if there is a forum link or a video that perfectly shows how to rub this off the plastic bumper.

Totally welcome and appreciate any replies!

    Thank you!

    -Sebastian

I’m not sure there is a fix for plastic damage like that but I’d leave it, don’t say anything but everytime you are with her just look at it and sigh. She will feel at little guilty so you will get a pass on a few things.

Is it just the sunlight or are the plactic parts (bumper, grill, fender flares) a different color than the metal pieces(hood, fenders)? Was this truck in a front end collision? And the clear is peeling on the bumper which is not common on a truck with factory paint on a 6 year old truck.

Looks like turning into a parking space a little wide and scraping into a wall or column.

One day you can tell her I need a plate bumper because this one looks like crap. Agree with the other post that looks like the bumper was repainted, looks way off on the color shade.

Welcome to TW! I wouldn't even worry about that ... but maybe think twice about letting her drive it again.

From my understanding I believe it was in a minor collision hence the different shades of color? I’ve been saving up money to eventually buy parts of the same color

That’s exactly what happened except it was a hedge and a fat trunk of a branch. Her actual quote “I thought I could clear the little leaves so in rolled the dice......”
