So a few years ago someone tried to steal my working equipment and some stuff in my taco.. they ended up taking my gps. They broke the cylinder lock but just the little arms that it has to stay in place broke off. Do I need to buy a new cylinder lock because I’m tired of not being able to unlock my truck from the passenger side.

Also anyone knows a solution on how to clean the acid rain on the windshield and all the windows?

I am a bit confused... is this the passenger side door lock that was damaged or the ignition lock cylinder or?

there isnt anything you can do about acid rain if it has etched the glass or paint. I will initally clean the glass with windex and a single edge razor blade. You will be surprised with the amount of stuff embedded in the glass. Dont scrape the blade across the glass, put it almost flat and do go to fast.

It was the passenger door lock.

This happened to me many years ago in my old 1st gen 4Runner. I just went to a shop and they put a new lock cylinder in (they had to re-bend the sheet metal of the door since they popped the cylinder out). I was cheap and didn't pay the extra $20 or whatever to have them re-key it to my existing keys. I had power door locks and keyless entry, so I never used that side to unlock (with a key anyway).

Google "chris fix" and look for his windshield cleaning video. Maybe that will help??
