Just wondering who has gotten the most miles out of their Taco with the stock engine and trans? I had one with 320k miles and everything worked well, including the AC. Really no complaints. What's the most you guys have gone?

233k miles and not much changed out except dino engine oil every 5k, all ujoints twice, brakes once, air filter once, spark plugs once, lower steering shaft, steering rack, PS lines and one wheel bearing. Sterring and bearing could have gone longer but was hit by 18 wheeler trailer into a curb and lost lower control arm.

This guy was at 1.2 million miles on his 2008 at the time this was published. It still has the original transmission and he replaced the engine at just under 900,000 miles. The engine was still good, but needed a head gasket. Instead of repairing it he bought one from a scrapyard with 100K on it. He has since put an additional 300K on that engine for a total of 400K. Most of the other parts are still original as well.

But this was from last July, he averages almost 10k per month so he probably has another 50K or 60K on it by now.

yeah, I think the time is a little more of the killer. Weird squeaks, creaks, etc from rubber drying out, etc. The big components are pretty hassle free
