Nothing significant. It's a very easy process and DYC has a lot of videos to take you through the steps.

My roof began to rust terribly when I moved to Montana, I mean, in a span of months. So I plasti-dipped the roof, and was thinking about doing the hood too bc the clear coat is failing. Here's pics of what I've done so far:

Cool concept! I'm actually considering this on my truck ... We'll see :goingcrazy:

How did you end up fixing that up?

Ummm well I ran out of touch up paint that I kept from when I did the paint job so I need to order another gallon and hope to god it will match. Because the rattle can anthracite doesn't match at all. So I'm just rolling around with it as is haha

Let us know what it looks like after a couple of washes, maybe some of that overspray will go away. I take it you rattled it?

Yea I rattled it, that wasn't the final finish tho. Coated it again and then put a clear coat on

Nice looking Rig BTW!! Question. Can you tell me where I can purchase this "exacto" for the weather stripping for the flares. I got some but they weren't for these types of fender flares and they really didn't fit good.

Damn, that looks great. Where did you get the wrap? Was it hard to apply?

Did it myself since I've worked with vinyl before. Hardest part was the front bumper, the rest wasn't that bad. Just removed all I could, like the door handles, mirrors, lights, etc... Thanks.

Edit: I got the wrap from Ebay. $350 for 45ft of 3M wrapping vinyl in Dark Gray Matte color. It's supposed to last 5-7 years outdoor. I'm thinking of replacing it with a Cement color like the new taco's.

Sorry if I missed it through the thread, what was your original color? Do you notice it much when opening doors or hood?

Just stumbled on this thread. My truck is looking rough. Hadn’t really considered this since people seem to say don’t do it but this looks great. After several years is it still holding up? Does it clean easily or hold dirt real bad like some say? That color makes that truck POP! Thanks for sharing!

It's still holding up great. Would be better had I not used full strength degreaser a couple of times. Dirt comes off fairly easily. I just use the "bug scouring" side of a wash sponge for the dip in order to help remove dirt. I will probably go over it with another couple of coats of Anthracite in the near future.

Here's a video I did showing what it looks like now and things I've learned
