Squeak/rattle from dash

I'm having a bit of a squeak/rattle as I drive coming from the shroud around my touch screen (see image). I know it's coming from here because I can either put pressure on this piece or slightly pull on it and the sound stops. Anyone know how to take care of this?

 

That trim piece just pulls off with your fingers. Pull straight out. Perhaps a small, intentionally placed piece of felt tape or almost any thin item would tighten that up. You cold also try wrapping a loose clip with electrical tape to snug that trim piece up if you find that to be the problem.

 

I have several rattles/squeaks from that area along with what sounds from the windshield. The colder it is the louder it gets.

If you find a solution please post it.

 

Ive also been getting that rattle from up by the windshield on the passenger side. I haven't messed with it much but it seems to be coming from the light sensor.

 

Does it get worse with the cold?

 

yeah...I haven't noticed it until this winter. last year I heard it but then I thought it was that panel on the side of the dash so I put some padding behind it...thought it was fixed now I don't know if this is a new sound or not

Interestingly I noticed some horrible rattles. But only when outside temp is cold. Mornings on the way to work it rattles like a mofo. After sitting in the sun all day it doesn't do it on the way home. Pisses me off

 

Anyone find a fix for this?
