You should stop by the "37s" threads and explain to them they all wasted their time with "all that extra shit"

Just don’t turn full lock. 37’s fit fine through full travel if you do that!

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
Q: Are the 3rd gen tacoma's 1 inch higher from the factory than 2nd gens?
    Answer Yes, they are-
The 05-15 Tacoma on average, measures 20 inches in the front and 21.5 inches in the rear. The 16 Tacoma measures 21 inches in the front and 22 inches in the rear.
    Found here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...2016-tacoma-presented-by-toytec-lifts.395798/

Q: Why are a bunch of 2nd gen owners in here saying things cant be done on third gens? Have they attempted them on third gens? If they have, please dont hesitate. But if you haven't, why you in here?

    I own a 2013 tacoma
    And I own a 2019 tacoma

I ran the 2013 for 2 or 3 years on 35s, ran it on 37s for a year and now I'm fitting it for 40s
    IMG_20200209_100825.jpg

My old 35s that I took off my 2013 I put them on my 2019 when it had 1000miles on it, I set it up properly and tubbed the fronts of the wheel wells so the 35s could cycle completely. I don't have photos of the tubbing but here's the 2019 on 35s with a stock suspension before I changed out it out and bullet proofed the front end.
    IMG_20190307_162207.jpg

As far as I've seen the 2nd gen / 3rd gen front wheel wells are almost completely identical except for the sheet metal below the head light, on the 3rd gen it's "shorter". With that it mind all the same tire size restrictions apply between the generations. Lift doesn't matter when it comes to offroading and tire clearance.

I wasnt specifically speaking about @tetten.
    Sorry if that was misconstrued.

I just remember that I've heard and seen it alot from some 2nd genners, when I first started the process.

To answer to your lift doesnt matter with tire size, I absolutely agree.

From what I've seen, the wheel wheels in the 3rd gen tacoma are much larger than I remember in my 2nd gen. Probably just perception though

Great thread! - BFG KSM 3 - 35/12.5/17 on Fuel Vapors, CMC , SPC UCA’a, wheel liner cut, pinch weld etc..
Fox Coilovers inverted top gives 1 inch extra height... G2 5.29’s coming.....
Also ordered Fend-x liners... so far so good, minor rub on the CMC, will address that when I bring it for the gears...

New to the 35" club, I know I follow/talk to some of you on IG. What sealant have you guys used for the pinch welds? What's the best option?

Getting that snorkel thrown on tomorrow.

I prefer to use asphalt based sealant used for roofing.

NP. You should be able to find it with all of the the other tubes of caulking and stuff at Ace or wherever you shop. The asphalt stuff is pretty nasty but it works great.
