I can’t find any zerk fittings on my drive lines. What’s the deal?

No Zerks. Don't worry about it.

Toyota doesn't trust the owner to keep up on them and speaking as former dealer tech, the dealerships don't either. I was one of about 10 techs in a shop of 30 who bothered to do them 10 years ago and I doubt it's any better now.

Same deal as sealed transmissions... better to design for 100k wear than expect proper maintenance and have someone bad mouth your brand when they don't.

Sad that even Toyota is compromising quality for a few extra bucks.

Did you check your front driveshaft? Mine has them in the front only.

Sealed joints have been around forever. Even my BMW had sealed joints in the drive shaft back in 1989. The driveshaft was still going strong at 270k

The OEMs can't trust the end user who sees a tube of grease and picks the cheapest price point without knowing it's the wrong shit

This. Just general industry design trend to require less scheduled maintenance (and more on-condition replacement). U-joints became non-greaseable the same way ball joints, wheel bearings, and tie rod ends became non-greaseable. Not necessarily great for off-roaders, but the truck was designed for the mainstream public.
